Well, I definitely agree that exercise contributes to a healthier lifestyle, that's for sure. Whether we can extend our life depends on alot of factors, including genetics, environment, etc. But for sure, exercise gives you much more QUALITY to the years you are given! And personally, I'll take quality over quantity any time!

Yes, Betty, I totally agree with you. How long we live is dependent on so many factors. Life style choices have a lot to do with our longevity, as does genetics. Certainly exercise can help with quality of life as we age. But for sure, I don't want to be the fittest antique in the nursing home, lol!

It's pretty scary to hear that today's generation of kids may be the first to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents because obesity is so prevalent. When I was a kid, we had no video games, one TV in the house, and I rode my bike all over the neighborhood without fear of being snatched by some stranger. Times have certainly changed.
