countin calories

How about the old fashioned, low-fat, low-calorie diet? No specific name, just good 'ol exercise & countin calories.

Re: countin calories

I'm counting calories and carbs. I can't help myself. It's something that I learned from the first diet I ever went on 34 years ago. I still think counting calories is important. But one of the big benefits to a low carb diet is that the body goes into a state of ketosis, which is a natural appetite suppressant. Low fat diets don't give you that benefit and most people complain about being hungry. When you're hungry you tend to eat more. So, that's why I chose to do a low carb plan.

I applaud you if you are able to stick with a low fat diet. I had tried many times in the past and was almost a human yo yo from losing and gaining. I decided that I had to try something different or I was always going to get the same results. Low carb is what's working for me and it's something that I firmly believe I can live with for the rest of my life.

Never wrestle with pigs. You just get dirty and the pigs like it too much.

There's light at the end every tunnel ........ just pray its not a train.
