Any CORE People Here?
I'm doing CORE with a few South Beach tweaks - namely, I am using the 35 WAPs mainly for nuts and LF cheese (I can't get FF cheese in Canada that tastes decent, and I would like to stay away from frankenfoods as much as possible!) So my "starting point" was a blend of Phase Two SB with CORE, and by bypassing Phase One of SB, I avoided the crankiness that takes place whenever I am in anything close to ketosis. (I have a tendency towards depression/anxiety, and ketosis is a guarantee that I'll trigger this tendency!)
Bottom line: 3.5 pounds gone in a week from a sluggish metabolism in a 49-year-old menopausal woman who's on diuretics. Plus, a lot of my food-related anxiety is gone. I don't know whether this is due to the diminished carb cravings or the lack of obsessional counting, weighing and measuring, but I feel good on all levels. Plus, with the increased fat content, my hair is glossier and silkier. Bouncin' and behavin', I tells ya!
Anyone else having a similar experience?
